Crafty Chess is an open-source Graphical User Interface for chess engines. It has full move variation and annotation support, bug free legal move generation engine, and moderately good in-built mate search engine. This application can be used either as an opponent or position analyst.
Great graphics and GUI. Much better than usual visuals found in chess GUI. MultiPV analysis could be a welcome feature. Also setting engine hash-size and number of threads could be welcomed features.
The base program is great; I really like the GUI/presentation a lot more than any other winboard I have found; but I have found the deeper UCI options a bit buggy so it still could be better. BB.
